Long story short, the electricity in our apartment has now been messed up for a week.  Landlord FAIL.

Any recommendations for Cambridge area electricians to call?

Chocolate Madness [Feb. 19th, 2008|05:19 pm]
So Emily is of course a way better person and has already posted this, but I figured I'd make sure the rest of my friends list knew what the deal is for this years NARAL chocolate madness!

CHOCOLATE MADNESS!

April 29, 7:30-9pm, BCA Cyclorama, South End
Tickets HERE

Buy your tickets early! $35 before March 31, $45 after April 1, $50 at the door. You vs. 35 restaurants presenting obscene amounts of chocolate.

If you're feeling like throwing your cash around for an excellent cause, you can be a sponsor and get pre-event champagne and mingling/

Anyway, I know a number of you came last year, and it would be awesome to have you there again!

MS walk [Apr. 16th, 2007|02:39 pm]
On April 29th, I'm participating in the Boston MS LifeLines MS Walk. With the Harvard graduate student team (Team Dudley), I'll be raising money for MS education, support, advocacy, and research.

To learn more about MS, or to join or support Team Dudley,
MS New England

One of my friends was recently diagnosed and so a whole group from my lab will be walking with Team Dudley. Anything you'd like to do to help will be appreciated!

NARAL Chocolate Madness [Apr. 1st, 2007|03:50 pm]
[Current Location |home]
[mood | cheerful]
[music |Bishop Allen]

So I've finally gotten around to posting about this:

The short summary is that Chocolate Madness, NARAL Pro-Choice Massachusetts' largest annual fundraiser, will be held on Tuesday, April 24th, 7:00- 9:00 p.m. at the Cyclorama, 539 Tremont Street in Boston's South End.

Chocolate Madness is a chocolate lover’s feast featuring all you can eat chocolate donated by over 30 of Boston’s best restaurants including: Harvest, Hamersley’s Bistro, Sel de la Terre, Conundrum, Temper Chocolate and many more. This year, I’m helping out as a volunteer at the event as well as selling tickets beforehand.

Tickets are $35 each and you can either purchase from me directly (shannonforgod and ruxxel have taken 2 already) or online here (just write in that I mentioned it to you).

I hope some of you can make it out to support NARAL Pro-Choice Massachusetts’ work to expand and protect access to reproductive health care and enjoy some delicious chocolate!

Reminder - NARAL shindig at my place [Sep. 5th, 2006|09:24 am]
First - I'm a G2 now! Only 3 or 4 more years left!

Second - Just a reminder that this Thursday, September 7 is A Choice
Conversation at my apartment in Somerville, 6:45-8:30.
Drinks, desserts, tasty snacks...and a chance to learn more about
NARAL Pro-Choice Massachusetts and get more involved!

The NARAL rep will be taking donations if you want to make one, as
well as selling the super-awesome "choice." t-shirts for
$15--available in black or white men's and girl-cut styles. If you
plan to buy one, let me know and I'll make sure the rep brings one in
your size. (note: the girl-cut shirts run a little small.)

I live at 45 Concord Ave, #16 in Somerville. It's on the outer edge of
Inman Square. Once you get to the apartment, just hit the buzzer. My
apartment is on the first floor up about 4 stairs, last one on the
left.

If you haven't RSVPd, please let me know if you can make it!
